Nancy Calef Gallery

Nancy Calef paints people juxtaposed in ordinary situations, while addressing challenging social and political issues facing society ("Peoplescapes"). Her addition of the 3rd dimension (breaking the plane of the canvas with sculpture and found objects) brings humor to often difficult subjects. She has also created a body of work through her travels while studying the culture and landscape of many countries.
